FAQ

What happens to my stuff when I rebirth?
Rebirth resets your accumulated Cash to zero and permanently grants its rewards. Whether Gold, fishermen, and index progress survive the reset has not been confirmed by the community, so treat every rebirth as a fresh economy and plan your spending before you press the button.
When should I rebirth for the first time?
Not at 100,000 Cash — above it. The next rebirth costs millions, and rebirth rewards compound, so overshoot the first threshold comfortably and keep earning until the reset costs you little progress. The community recommendation is to buffer, never to rebirth at the minimum.
What are the Squid and Orca requirements?
Players observed the third rebirth tier (150 million Cash) also requiring one Squid and one Orca. These fish must be in your possession at rebirth time, so never auto-sell high-rarity fish — the guide below has the safety rules.

What rebirth does

Rebirth is the game’s permanent-progress lever. Pressing it resets your accumulated Cash to zero — “Rebirth resets money but improves your next run” — and permanently grants:

  • 1.5x money multiplier on your income
  • More roll luck (players have observed luck values up to 5 after multiple rebirths)
  • Higher offline-earnings time cap (“offline max time”)
  • Dock expansion — the in-game hint literally reads “Rebirth to expand your dock”
  • +1 fish slot, confirmed applied instantly in recorded sessions

Rebirth rewards stack across rebirths, so each cycle makes the next run faster — the whole design pulls you toward periodic resets. Our beginner guide covers the pre-rebirth economy if you are not there yet.

Every rebirth cost observed so far

Players have observed these thresholds (all community data, subject to rebalancing — the 2026-09-22 update changed several economy values):

RebirthCash thresholdExtra requirement
1st100,000none
2nd3,750,000—
3rd150,000,000one Squid + one Orca
4th3,000,000,000shown in-game, unreached by the community

The buffer rule: never rebirth at the minimum

The community’s core advice: prepare before resetting instead of rebirthing the moment you can afford it. Costs rise sharply between tiers, so rebirthing at exactly 100,000 Cash wipes your balance and leaves you grinding the same early upgrades again with no cushion. Overshoot comfortably — if a purchase would drop you below the next threshold, wait for passive income to refill the gap first.

Keep the fish your next rebirth needs

Later tiers demand specific fish — players observed a Squid and an Orca at the 150 million tier. Two safety rules follow:

  1. Never auto-sell high-rarity fish. One player sold their Squid accidentally (“No, I SOLD THE SQUID”) and had to re-catch it before rebirthing. Turn auto-sell off before rebirth windows; the upgrades guide shows where.
  2. Keep at least one copy of every rare fish you catch as a rebirth requirement candidate.

Rebirth planning checklist

Run through this before every reset:

  1. Threshold checked in-game (not from an old table like ours — verify in the rebirth menu).
  2. Cash overshoots the threshold comfortably.
  3. Required fish (Squid + Orca at the observed third tier) are in your inventory.
  4. Auto-sell is OFF.
  5. Recent Cash investments still pay off after the reset — compare against the Gold spending priorities.

Skip Rebirth (280 Robux) — what it claims

A Skip Rebirth option appears near the rebirth button, priced at 280 Robux with a “keep your money only” note. Its exact effect is not confirmed by the community — it appears to reset progress while preserving your Cash balance. Read the in-game wording carefully before buying, and remember the entire game is reachable without Robux.
